India Russian oil: US President Trump has imposed a total tariff of 50 percent on India. Despite this, India is now going to buy more oil from Russia.

There is a situation of tension between India and America. US President Donald Trump has imposed an additional 25 percent tariff on India, but India is not going to bow down to America. According to a Reuters report, India is now preparing to buy more oil from Russia. Trump had imposed a total tariff of 50 percent only because of buying oil from Russia.

Ignoring the American tariff, India is going to increase the import of crude oil from Russia in the month of September. Reliance Industries and Nayara Energy are planning to increase the import of crude oil in the month of September as compared to the current months. According to the information, Reliance Industries and Nayara Energy can increase the purchase of Russian oil by 10-20% as compared to August. This means that 1.5 to 3 lakh barrels of extra oil can be imported daily.

There is a problem with Russian oil, but America itself is trading with Russia

India has become the largest buyer of Russian oil supplies. US officials have accused India of profiting from discounts on Russian oil, while Indian officials have accused Western countries of adopting double standards. Trump has a problem with why India buys oil from Russia, but the US still trades billions of dollars with Russia.
