Moradabad (Desk): While mobile companies often lure customers with grand claims, reality frequently turns out to be quite different. A similar case has come to light involving Moradabad-based journalist Sagar Rastogi. About a month ago, after seeing advertisements and reviews on TV and social media, he purchased an Oppo Reno 14 using his credit card. However, just a few days after the purchase, the phone’s performance started deteriorating. The journalist alleges that the device frequently hangs, and many software functions simply don’t work. Being a professional journalist, most of his work depends on his mobile phone, and the poor performance has significantly hindered his work.
Sagar Rastogi claims that the advertisements portrayed the phone as “superfast” and “high-tech,” but in reality, it failed to meet expectations. He has warned that if the company does not resolve the issue promptly, he will take the matter to court. He stated clearly, “Misleading customers should not be easy for any company. If necessary, I will pursue legal action.”This case raises questions once again about whether companies are deceiving consumers with flashy advertisements. Consumer experts suggest that customers must now be vigilant and avoid blindly trusting any product.
