CM Yogi inaugurated Kalyan Mandapam in Gorakhpur, poor will get benefit

Gorakhpur News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed Kalyan Mandapam in Manbela by cutting the ribbon. After this, he inspected and reviewed the arrangements and facilities here.

Describing Kalyan Mandapam as an innovative initiative, CM Yogi said that it was started in Gorakhpur. Today, all the cities like Prayagraj, Varanasi, Meerut, Bareilly etc. are adopting the Kalyan Mandapam model of Gorakhpur. Kalyan Mandapam is not only providing facilities to the poor, but there is also healthy competition among all the municipal corporations for this.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Manbela in Gorakhpur on Saturday, 23 August. Here he dedicated two Kalyan Mandapams to the public, one in Baba Gambhirnath Nagar Manbela and the other in Piru Shaheed of Rapti Nagar Extension. 

CM Yogi inaugurated it by cutting the ribbon

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed Kalyan Mandapam in Manbela by cutting the ribbon through a stage program. After this, he inspected the arrangements and facilities here. He also gave the message of environmental protection by planting a Maulshree sapling in the premises of Kalyan Mandapam.

During this, the Chief Minister said that today development is taking place and there are schemes for poor welfare too. Today every needy person is getting free ration. Under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, education arrangements have been made from birth to graduation of the daughter. Through the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, the state government provides assistance of Rs 1 lakh for the marriage of a daughter.

The construction work started a year ago

Kalyan Mandapam, built under the guidance of CM Yogi, has facilities like a marriage house. Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) has constructed Kalyan Mandapam (Convention Center) in Manbela in Baba Gambhirnath Nagar Ward in an area of ​​more than 1500 square meters. 

The construction of the convention center in Manbela started on 10 June 2024 and it was completed before the stipulated deadline. The cost of this building, built on two floors, is Rs 2 crore 65 lakh. 

The Kalyan Mandapam at Manbela can host various functions (marriages, social functions, cultural programs, mass celebrations, etc.) for up to 250 people. The Kalyan Mandapam has a large hall with kitchen, store, changing rooms and separate toilets for men and women on both floors.

CM saw the model presentation of GDA projects 

In the exhibition set up outside Kalyan Mandapam, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saw the presentation of various projects through models at the GDA stall. He also visited the stalls of other departments at the exhibition site. At one stall, he caressed the little children and fed them their Annaprashan.

On the stage, the Chief Minister handed over allotment certificates to 10 beneficiaries of LIG and EWS housing. GDA has also constructed another convention center (Kalyan Mandapam) on 450 square meter land in Tola Piru Shahid of Rapti Nagar Extension Scheme area at a cost of about Rs 85 lakh from the authority fund.

This Kalyan Mandapam is also built in two floors in which various programs for 125 people can be organized. It has a large multipurpose hall on the ground floor, separate toilets for men and women, two rooms on the first floor, veranda and open terrace.

MP Ravi Kishan addressed the people

At the inauguration ceremony of Kalyan Mandapam, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla said that the facilities for which the common people have to spend lakhs of rupees in organizing auspicious programs, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made arrangements to provide those facilities for a few thousand rupees through Kalyan Mandapam.

This great idea of ​​adding grandeur to the programs of poor families can only be of a selfless saint. CM Yogi is a selfless saint and such a Chief Minister is found only by great luck.
