Moradabad: A woman identified as Saniya, a resident of the Jayantipur police outpost area in Moradabad district, allegedly attempted to take her own life by pouring petrol on herself outside the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office while seeking justice. The incident was reportedly prevented due to the prompt intervention and presence of mind of the police personnel.According to Saniya, she had lodged a complaint alleging assault against Adil, Mahak, Taranum, Fazil, Wasim, and Suhail. She further alleged that Jayantipur Outpost In-charge Nitish questioned her for opposing the alleged sale of narcotics (smack) from Wasim’s house and claimed that the accused were “their people.” She also alleged that the outpost in-charge colluded with the accused and had a false criminal case registered against her.Saniya further alleged that last month YouTuber Parvez Ansari, also known as “Topi,” and his associate Farman uploaded her private videos and photographs on YouTube, falsely portraying her as operating a sex racket. She claimed they then blackmailed her and demanded \u20b920,000 to remove the content. According to her, they called her to Ambedkar Park in the Civil Lines police station area, where they allegedly pressured her to establish physical relations. She stated that when she refused, Farman allegedly threatened her with serious consequences.It may be noted that, according to the allegations in the original report, YouTuber Parvez Ansari alias Topi has previously faced a criminal case related to an alleged extortion demand involving a woman police officer and had spent several months in jail.
