As per the new rates, the fare has increased from Rs 1 to Rs 4 depending on the distance travelled, while on the Airport Express Line, this increase will be a maximum of Rs 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has increased the fare marginally for passengers. DMRC informed in an ex-post that the new rates have come into ex-post that the new rates have come into effect from 25 August 2025 (Monday). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the new rules, the fare has been increased from one rupee to four rupees. At the same time, this increase will be up to a maximum of five rupees on the Airport Express Line. DMRC says that this revision has been decided on the basis of distance and it has been implemented as a &#8220;minimal increase&#8221;. The new fare slabs have now been implemented on all routes and passengers will travel at these rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:41px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The passenger fares of the Delhi Metro services have been revised with effect from today, that is, 25th August 2025 (Monday) onwards. The increase is minimal, ranging from \u20b9 1 to \u20b9 4 only depending on the distance of travel (upto \u20b95 for the Airport Express Line). The fare for 2-5 km has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 21. The fare for a distance of 5-12 km has been increased from Rs 30 to Rs 32 and for 12-21 km, the fare has been increased from Rs 40 to Rs 43. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delhi Metro further informed in an ex-post that the fare for a journey of 21-32 km has been increased from Rs 50 to Rs 54 and for a distance of more than 32 km, the fare has been increased from Rs 60 to Rs 64. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fares also increased on National Holidays and Sundays<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The revised rates will also be applicable on national holidays and Sundays, with fares ranging from 0-2 km for Rs 11, 2-5 km for Rs 11, 5-12 km for Rs 21, 12-21 km for Rs 32, 21-32 km for Rs 43 and more than 32 km for Rs 54. Similar revisions have been made on the Airport Express Line, where fares have been increased by Rs 1 to Rs 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>B.
